In the event of an accident during which you are injured or if you are ill while traveling, seek medical help immediately.
If you do not know how to deal with an injury, illness or hospitalization for an extended period of time, call your insurance company assistance company or your insurance company directly at the numbers listed on the insurance policy or its attachments.
When you go to a health care facility, bring a valid insurance policy or European Health Insurance Card.
The medical institution will contact the insurance company once a valid insurance policy has been submitted.
If you have the opportunity, you can pay for your medical care bill. After returning to Lithuania, you have the right to apply for reimbursement of expenses incurred by your insurance company.
It is worth noting that you will only be reimbursed on presentation of documents from the medical institution confirming the fact of referral and payment.
