TWO LITHUANIAN NOVELS TRANSLATED INTO LATVIAN WILL BE PRESENTED AT “BALTIC BOOK FAIR 2014”
From 28 February to 2 March, Kipsala International Centre will present International Book and Publishers Exhibition “Baltic Book Fair 2014”. This year two novels by the Lithuanian prose writers translated into Latvian will be presented at “Baltic Book Fair 2014”: a novel by Vytautas Bubnys „In a Dove‘s Flutter (“Krustā sists balodis”) and a novel by Vytautas Sirijos Gira “Mahogany Paradise” (“Sarkankoka paradīze”). On 28 February, at 11.00–12.00 a discussion “Is there a place for the “Dove Beaten on the Cross” in the “Mahogany Paradise”? will take place. Grandee of the Lithuanian literature Vytautas Bubnys and Latvian movie legend Jānis Streičs will be at the discussion table held by Eva Mārtuža about the books “Krustā sists balodis” (“Dove Beaten on the Cross”) by Vytautas Bubnys and “Sarkankoka paradīze” (“Mahogany Paradise”) by Vytautas Sirijos Gira.
