In New York, Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Landsbergis meets with his Bhutanese counterpart

“We appreciate Bhutan’s support for Ukraine. Cooperation of small countries supporting Ukraine and other countries’ struggle for the right to survive is vital both in the United Nations and other international formats,” Landsbergis told his Bhutanese counterpart.

The Foreign Ministers agreed to deepen cooperation in cybersecurity, education and other areas and strengthen bilateral links.

“The diversification of economic activity implemented by Lithuania and its experience implementing electronic services are of interest to Bhutan and other countries in the region. Thus, there is a lot of untapped potential for cooperation, sharing our experience,” Lithuania’s Foreign Minister said.
 
The heads of diplomacy of Lithuania and Bhutan also discussed Lithuanian development cooperation projects already being implemented in Bhutan.
