Ambassador Žurauskas presents his letters of credence to the President of Romania
On 26 September, the Ambassador of Lithuania Artūras Žurauskas presented his letters of credence to the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis.
At the bilateral meeting following the ceremony, the interlocutors emphasized that in recent years, relations between Lithuania and Romania had gained momentum and that cooperation in the European Union and NATO was also productive. There is reason to expect that, as NATO allies, our countries will continue to work closely together to strengthen the Alliance's eastern flank further, providing support to Ukraine and supporting Ukraine and Moldova on their path of integration into the European Union.
The Ambassador and the President of Romania also stressed a mutual need to intensify economic ties.
