      Four clusters that unite more than 70 Lithuanian enterprises and organisations will represent the country for the first time at a joint stand at the international exhibition Balttour 2015 to be held on February 6 – 8 in Riga. What are the distinctions of each of the clusters and what specific features of their regions will they present to the world?
      It is the first event of this kind when as many as four tourism clusters, facilitated by Enterprise Lithuania (the agency under Ministry of Economy), will present themselves to the Latvian public and tourism and travel agencies as well as to companies and organisations of other countries. Biržai and Anykščiai Tourism Clusters as well as the newly established Žemaitija and Pamarys Tourism Clusters, which were formed just last year, will advertise their activities and services at the stand under the slogan “Made in Lithuania”. The purpose of the clusters is to unite the businessmen and tourism industry enterprises and organisations of the region so that their joint activities would attract as many local and international tourists as possible.

      On 16 August H.E. Ričardas Degutis, Ambassador of Lithuania to Latvia and  H.E.  Jerzy Marek Nowakowski,   Ambassador of Poland to Latvia, SNMCMG1 Commander, the representatives of SNMCMG1 staff, Commanders of the LNS command and supply JOTVINGIS and Poland’s warship FLAMING Lieutenant Commander Laimonas Banys, Lieutenant Commander Jaroslaw Tuszkowski respectively  as well as the members of their ship crews paid a visit to Salaspilis and commemorated the Battle of Salaspilis.  The flowers wreaths were laid at the memorial stone for the Battle of Salaspilis.
